Services for Mrs. Emelia Schwartz, 82, who died on Monday, December 18, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Moore of Manly, Iowa, after a brief illness were held on December 21. A family service at 1:30 p. m. at the Boldt Funeral Home was followed by a service at 2 p. m. at Trinity Lutheran church, Mrs. August Roeglin and Mrs. Ernest Radtke sang a favorite German hymn of the deceased, and the children from Trinity school sang "Rock of Ages." Interment was made in Maple Lawn cemetery. Pallbearers were Ernest Radtke, August Roeglin, Nick Winkel, Alvin Achilles, George Kenow and Herman Beneke. Emelia Dettman was born in Germany on June 11, 1868, the daughter of John and Fredericka Dettman. She was marrried to William Schwartz on February 18, 1885 in Faribault. During the first years of their marriage, the couple lived on a farm in Cannon City township, moving to Faribault 30 years ago. Mrs. Schwartz was a lifelong member of the Lutheran churcch and a member of the Trinity Lutheran Ladies Aid. Survivors include: three daughters, Mrs. Sidney Smith of Enderlin, N. D., Miss Martha Schwartz of Cambridge, MInn., and Mrs. Ralph Moore of Manly, Iowa; one son, George F. Schwartz of Milwaukeee, Wisconsin; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends attending the funeral from away were Mr. and Mrs. George Schwartz of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; seven grand of Enderlin, N. D.; Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Moore and Barry, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Schwartz, and Mr. and Mrs. Laird Moore, Manly, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Schultz, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Dettman, and Mrs. Allan Johnson, Glenwood City, Wisconsin; and Mr. and Mrs. Lorenz Wille, Kenyon.
